Digital Citizenship
Digital Citizenship at Te Kura o Ōpāwaho - Opawa School is appropriate and responsible behaviour with regard to technology use. Digital citizenship should be practiced at all times at school and home. It is an ongoing partnership between teachers, students and parents. Just as teachers build an awareness of the importance of digital citizenship at school, parents can support and reinforce these concepts with their children at home.
The main resource we will be using to effectively teach digital citizenship is Hector’s World®. Hector’s World® is a unique cybersafety initiative for teachers and parents to help young people learn about safe online practices and digital citizenship.
